Health Beyond the Blog: Fundraiser for Clarkston Clinic at Papi’s

Last October, News Team Member Deanna Altomara wrote about the Clarkston Community Health Center (CCHC), a free clinic that serves the largely refugee community of Clarkston, Georgia. Each week the clinic provides 150 patients with services in primary care, women’s health, mental health, dental and vision care, and more. It is the fastest-growing free clinic in Georgia. 

The high demand for services has pushed the clinic to embark on an ambitious expansion project. It is currently seeking to raise $500,000 to fund the construction of a larger, more state-of-the-art building. On Thursday, March 5, the Papi’s Cuban and Caribbean Grill at Emory Point will be hosting a fundraiser for the CCHC. Twenty percent of proceeds from meals purchased from 5-8pm will support the purchase and repair of new medical equipment. Come enjoy delicious Cuban food while supporting an important part of the Clarkston community!
