Dr. Amanda Freeman is an instructor in Emory’s Center for the Study of Human Health. Her current research attempts to answer questions about the neuroanatomical and molecular underpinnings of sleep regulation, particularly in pathological conditions by translating sleep disorders to the research laboratory. Specifically her research focuses on neurophysiological variances in primary hypersomnia and the development of a genetic model of Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) in fruit flies.
