The racial disparities in pregnancy and birthing experiences in the US is an urgent and important issue, one that needs to be explored beyond the statistics and numbers. NATAL, a narrative podcast about having a baby while Black in the United States, provides a necessary and impactful perspective about Black maternal health through the storytelling and shared experiences of real people. On this podcast, stories of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care are shared. Beyond those experiences, the podcast also draws from the perspectives of birth workers, medical professionals, and advocates for Black maternal health and reproductive justice overall.
