The Atlanta Science festival begins this Saturday, March 12th in various locations across the metro Atlanta area. The festival will culminate with the Exploration Expo, a free interactive science event on Saturday, March 26th from 10am to 4pm in Piedmont Park. Visitors can draw with 3-D pens, freeze a marshmallow, touch a human brain, and more at the 100-plus science booths. Starting this weekend and continuing throughout the two weeks, you can study the birds of Atlanta with the Georgia Audubon Society, solve botanical mysteries at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, or learn about the Science Behind Tracking Thunderstorms with the 11 Alive StormTrackers.
These events are made possible by Science ATL and more than fifty partners who are dedicated to creating community in Atlanta through exploring the wonders of science. The Atlanta Science Festival has exciting opportunities for community members of all ages, and many of the activities are completely free of charge.
