According to the New Yorker, the price of insulin doubled in the United States from 2012-2016 to the point that insulin can cost diabetics around a thousand dollars per month. Pod Save the People are concerned with how the surging prices encourage diabetics to take less doses than needed because they simply cannot afford it.
